Release date for the fifth season of Stranger Things
On February 1st, Netflix was able to reveal their film and television lineup for the year 2024. Surprisingly, the fifth season of Stranger Things was not included on the list. It will not be until 2025 when the finale of the popular series will be shown. Because the program makes use of visual effects and has cinematic aspects, a release in 2024 was never going to be a possibility.
The fifth season of Stranger Things has been considerably delayed as a result of the labor strikes that have occurred in Hollywood. It was anticipated that production would begin in May of 2023, with a possible delivery date of 2024. However, due to the work stoppages, the exhibition was obliged to put a halt to all of its operations. In January of 2024, work on the fifth season of the show resumed after a long delay.
It would seem that principal photography will continue until the end of this year to be completed. Millie Bobby Brown has said that there are nine months of filming remaining between now and the 10th of March in the year 2024.
Cast members for Stranger Things season 5
The fourth season devoted a significant amount of time to presenting a wide range of new characters, including, but not limited to, Eddie, Argyle, Dmitri, Yuri, Vecna, and Victor Creel, to mention just a few. All of these factors led to the season’s exceptionally lengthy duration, which has been criticized by a significant number of viewers.
Thankfully, the Duffers disclosed on Netflix Geeked that the fifth season would not include any new actors who would be joining the struggle for Hawkins. This will allow the program to devote more time to the original cast and the development of their characters. A break from the show’s pattern of introducing likable characters and then rapidly murdering them off will also be provided to the viewers as a result of this change. In spite of the fact that it is quite probable that we will see all of the originals at some point, the following is a brief rundown of who is still in the running:
- Joan Hopper, often known as Eleven, was portrayed by Millie Bobby Brown.
- Finn Wolfhard is the actor who portrays Mike Wheeler.
- The character of Will Byers, portrayed by Noah Schnapp
- Gaten Matarazzo, who portrays Dustin Henderson, is the actor.
- Caleb McLaughlin, who portrays the character of Lucas Sinclair
- This is Sadie Sink’s portrayal of Max Mayfield.
- The character of Steve Harrington, created by Joe Keery
- Natalia Dyer is the actress who portrays Nancy Wheeler.
- Charlie Heaton, who performs the role of Johnathan Byers
- Maya Hawke, who also plays the role of Robin Buckley
- David Harbour is the actor who portrays Jim Hopper.
- Winona Ryder, known for her portrayal as Joyce Byers
- Brett Gelman, who portrays Murray Bauman, is the character
- Jamie Campbell Bower is one of the actors who portrays Vecna, Henry Creel, and One.
As a result, there will be no new surprises for fans to look forward to this season. In the last season, the decision to concentrate entirely on the originals is unquestionably a move that is very much appreciated. Of course, there is a possibility that Joseph Quinn’s Eddie Munson, who did die in the previous season in a grand fight of metal and blood, may make a cameo appearance this time around, either in a flashback or some other means. However, since everyone liked him, there are times when you have no choice but to give the people what they feel they want. It won’t be long until we find out.
In spite of this, it was disclosed by Netflix Tudum that actress Linda Hamilton, who played the Terminator, has been hired for the next season. However, it is yet unknown whether or not her part would be a small one. Other notable actors from the 1980s have been cast in roles on the program in the past, including Sean Astin, Paul Reiser, Cary Elwes, and Robert Englund. This is just another instance of the show hiring legendary performers from the 1980s.
Eduardo Franco, the actor who plays the newcomer Argyle, claimed in an interview with Steve Varley that he does not believe his character will return. The conversation was conducted on Franco’s YouTube channel. “Do you understand what I mean when I say that it is pleasant to learn that there is some type of worry or something? Nevertheless, I have never, I have never received a phone call, so I believe, yes, I believe that is all,” he said.
It is also important to note that actor Noah Schnapp will continue to appear in the program at this time, despite the fact that there have been demands for the show to be boycotted in response to the footage showing him smiling with others who were passing out stickers that said “Hamas is ISIS” and “Zionism is sexy” in the aftermath of the 2023 Israel-Hamas conflict.
Is Linda Hamilton’s career coming to an end with Stranger Things 5?
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Linda Hamilton said that she was considering retiring from acting at the time that she was contacted for the character that she would play in the fifth season of Stranger Things. Hamilton mentioned the fact that she was experiencing bodily discomfort as the reason why she pondered leaving everything behind. It turns out, however, that her agent was the one who made the decision for her.
“I was getting set to work on the third season of the Resident Alien series. The thought that came to my mind was, “Dude, I don’t even know if I’m going to get there.” I hurt.’ (Laughs) And he’s like, ‘Oh, you don’t mean that.’ When I said retirement, a few weeks later, Stranger Things called him and asked, “Is Linda Hamilton available from June to June?” That’s when I realized that I was correct. And he responded with a “Yes.” He didn’t even bother to ask me.
She was hired on as a recurring cast member for Stranger Things season 5, but the role that Hamilton will play in the next season has not yet been disclosed. And the fact that Hamilton had to set aside a whole year for that season is a strong indication that her part is more significant than a simple cameo as a guest star.
“I’d come out of retirement to do [Stranger Things], yeah,” Hamilton said in response to a question about her future in the acting industry. In addition, I believe that as a result of this, I will get an additional fifteen minutes with a new audience, which is awesome. I am extremely thrilled. I am quite pleased with the job that I am now receiving. It’s not simply Stranger Things and Resident Alien that are involved. I am receiving some wonderful movie parts that will enable me to portray characters who are not members of the military. Simply put, I adore the difficulty of the task. I really like performing.”
Given the immense popularity of Stranger Things, it is only logical that members of the core ensemble should be rewarded generously for their work on the show. The cast has successfully negotiated a salary hike for the fifth season of the program. According to the information that was reported in Puck News, these compensation hikes were divided into three different levels.
In the next season, Winona Ryder and David Harbour are expected to get a total of $9.5 million in compensation. A little more than seven million dollars will be added to the salaries of Sadie Sink, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, and Finn Wolfhard for the season. For the last season, series regulars including Natalia Dyer, Maya Hawke, Charlie Heaton, and Joe Keery will each get a salary of $6 million.
The show is looking for actors to fill a few little parts
The program is now casting for a few lesser parts as part of the upcoming season, in addition to the fact that all of the key cast members will be returning for the fifth season. A handful of army or military men, as well as a few children between the ages of eight and ten, are among the individuals who are being cast for the season. This is not surprising, considering that Vecna has taken over Hawkins. One of the children is described as having the following characteristics: “[DEREK] Character is portrayed as 8–10 years old, male, of any ethnicity, and overweight.” He acts impolitely toward grownups and is a bully to others who are his age. He is an outsider who has no friends.
The storyline of Stranger Things season 5
Now that the most important questions have been answered, let’s talk about some of the other information that we are aware of or that the showrunners have said they are certain of.
There will be a time leap in the fifth season of Stranger Things
According to Screen Rant, the fifth season of the program will begin quite some time after the conclusion of the fourth season, much like the show’s prior seasons. After the startling cliffhanger that occurred in the fourth season, one may expect that the program will take up where it left off. However, the makers of the show want more time to pass, which is understandable considering that the majority of the cast is still developing and that the production of the previous two seasons took between two and three years. There have been casting calls for the program, and they have requested antique automobiles from the year 1988. This suggests that the fifth season will take place two years after the conclusion of the previous season.
Because of this time leap, the series could return to Hawkins a significant amount of time after the citizens have left the town, making it more likely that Vecna’s soldiers from the Upside Down will have taken control of the town. Who, on the other hand, wouldn’t want to see the carnage that was unleashed on the first day of the invasion, similar to what happened in A Quiet Place: Part Two?
The whole of the fifth season will take place in Hawkins
In terms of its overall scale, Stranger Things’ fourth season turned out to be the most expansive season to date. The story followed the heroes as they traveled across Hawkins, California, Russia, and even the Upside Down. They lived apart from one another during the course of the story. The final season, on the other hand, will focus heavily on the performances of the actors in Hawkins and the Upside Down.
Although this may not seem to be anything out of the ordinary, the Upside Down did manage to penetrate the enormous gate that tore through Hawkins. As a result, viewers may witness the town being transformed into a post-apocalyptic wasteland that has been distorted by the supernatural world. Photos posted on X shed light on the fact that an Upside Down adaptation of Hawkins Lab is now being constructed for the next season. This suggests that Vecna will transform his previous prison on Earth into his new castle.
Recently, Ross Duffer posted images from the set on Instagram, one of which was a picture of Castle Byers, the boyhood fort that Will destroyed in the third chapter of the series. Additionally, there are glimpses of Hopper at what seems to be the Nina Project facility, which is the location where Dr. Brenner assisted Eleven in regaining her abilities and unearthing her suppressed memories of Vecna in the fourth season.
Additionally, during the shooting of scenes at a radio station set, a few members of the cast and crew were seen performing. The circumstances behind these events are unclear; nonetheless, radio devices have played an important role in past seasons, from the walkie-talkies that have become synonymous with the children to Eleven’s use of radio to concentrate her telepathic abilities.
Will has a more significant part in the fifth season
Being the first person to be taken into the Upside Down and emerge alive, Will Byers played a significant role in the first two seasons of the program. He was also the first person to survive the experience. Despite the fact that the previous two seasons focused on Will’s secret sexuality and his isolation from his friends, he has been relegated to a secondary role in comparison to the other members of the group because of this. On the other hand, Matt Duffer disclosed to Collider that the fifth season would place a significant emphasis on and demonstrate how he “comes into his own.”
Over the course of his life, Will has maintained a mental link with Vecna and the hive mind of the Upside Down, which has endowed him with the capacity to perceive their presence and activities. It is possible that this power may prove to be essential to his position in the last episodes of the program, and it may even prove to be invaluable in putting an end to Vecna once and for all. Because Will’s absence was the catalyst for the show’s beginning, it is only fitting that it conclude with him being the center of attention.
In addition, Will has gotten a facelift. The bowl cut that Schnapp sported in season 4 has been replaced with shaggy bangs for the fifth season, according to photographs that were circulated on Ross Duffer’s Instagram account in honor of Will’s birthday on March 22. Upon closer inspection, the second photograph looks to be a flashback of an older Will laying next to a younger Will in Castle Byers.
In Stranger Things season 5, footage that was cut from season 2 will be included
It was stated by the Duffer Brothers in an article published by Netflix Tudum that the final season would make use of a considerable number of concepts that were left over from the second season. This fact alone has huge consequences. According to the second season of the series, Will is having a difficult time adjusting to his new existence after returning from the Upside Down. This is because he is being possessed by the Mind Flayer and, as a result, Vecna. Following the injury that may have been sustained in the season 4 finale, it is possible that the latter may make another attempt to take possession of Will.
Not only does the second season see Eleven meeting with her old buddy Kali from Hawkins Lab, but it also shows her researching her history. As a consequence of this, the last season would depict Will being influenced by Vecna once again, and Eleven might join forces with Kali for the very last time in order to rescue Hawkins and finally put an end to the Gate.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Duffer Brothers and executive producer Shawn Levy made it very apparent that the plot of the season is going to be an emotional rollercoaster trip. The finale is going to be an emotional rollercoaster. We were successful in getting our executives to weep, which I saw as a positive indicator that these executives were emotionally affected.
In addition, Levy made it quite apparent that the tale would revolve around the well-liked characters. Due to the fact that the tales of the characters have always been the driving force behind Stranger Things, it is already abundantly evident that season five is taking care of these stories.
They also revealed that the show’s concept, tone, and experience will be going full circle, which means that the fifth season will be more evocative of the show’s previous seasons, but on a larger scale. This is yet another piece of valuable information that they offered. Regardless of the circumstances, we are thrilled, and we can’t wait to get started.

To what extent will there be new monsters?
In each new season of the program, a different kind of creature from the Upside Down has been shown to the public. The flying Demobats were presented to the audience in the fourth season. It is possible that Vecna may pull out all the stops and create some new monsters to assault Hawkins at the beginning of the next season if this trend continues. Nancy did, in fact, experience a vision of a “giant monster with a gaping mouth” commanding Vecna’s army of monsters. Although it is possible that she is referring to the Mind Flayer (given that it is similar to the Spider Creature from season 3), Comic Book Resources has proposed that this mysterious creature is really the terrifying Thessalhydra.
A giant reptile monster with eight heads that are similar to those of a hydra and are all linked to a massive mouth, the Thessalhydra is a creature that appears in the Dungeons & Dragons video game universe. The beast that was creating tremors and screaming in the Upside Down during the fourth season is most likely the one that is being shown here. It is true that the lads were shown battling against the beast in their Dungeons & Dragons adventure in the season one finale; hence, much as with the Demogorgon, this apparently insignificant moment might have been a precursor to their most significant conflict to date.
Will there be a total of five episodes in the fifth season of Stranger Things?
The first episode of the new season of the program will be named “The Crawl,” and it has been revealed that there will be eight episodes in total. On the other hand, an insider named Jeff Sneider claims that the future episodes of the season will be titled The Vanishing of [Spoiler] Wheeler, The Turbow Trap (this one may instead be The Turnbow Trap), Sorcerer, Shock Jock, and Escape From Camazotz, in that particular sequence.
Given that Camazotz is the name of an infamous monster from Dungeons & Dragons, the title of the sixth episode speaks a lot about what the episode is about. Camazotz is a ruthless and vengeful predator who is a god of bats and evil. He is in charge of an army of bats and is responsible for spreading sickness. There are a lot of similarities between this figure and Vecna, who is a character that identifies himself as “a predator, but for good,” and who is in charge of a swarm of flying Demobats. Camazotz, on the other hand, may be the name of Vecna’s new lair, or it might rather be the name of another bat-like monster that the villain would unleash on the heroes.
In addition, the title of the second episode suggests that it is quite probable that Vecna would take Holly, the sister of Mike and Nancy, in the same manner as Carol Anne was abducted by Vecna in the film Poltergeist, which served as a significant source of inspiration for Stranger Things. By doing so, Mike and Nancy’s conflict with Vecna would become much more personal, and it would also provide a character who is often overlooked in the series with a more significant position in the narrative.
There is no information available on the length of each episode; however, the Duffer Brothers have claimed on Happy Sad Confused that the last episode of the series will have a runtime that is comparable to the two-and-a-half-hour finale of the fourth season. The Duffers have indicated that this will give “all the characters a proper send-off,” characterizing it as “Return of the King-ish with eight endings.” This will undoubtedly result in a significant climax, and the Duffers have mentioned that it will be a massive one.
Who is going to direct each episode of the fifth season of Stranger Things?
It is possible that the Duffer Brothers will also direct the second and fourth episodes of the season in addition to the premiere episode. In a similar vein, it has been speculated that Shawn Levy will be the director of the sixth episode of the season. Levy has directed two episodes in each of the show’s seasons in the past, including the fan-favorite Dear Billy. In addition, he is directing the impending blockbuster Deadpool & Wolverine.
Additionally, it has been rumored that director Frank Darabont would be in charge of the production of two episodes of the next season, which might be the third and fifth episodes. In addition to directing The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, and The Mist, Darabont is well-known for directing three critically praised film adaptations of Stephen King’s works. Given the fact that the Duffers have been significantly affected by King’s writings during the production of Stranger Things, the presence of a filmmaker who is experienced in translating tales of this kind seems to be a marriage made in heaven.
In the fifth season of Stranger Things, who passes away or dies?
Eleven’s “papa,” Dr. Brenner, was one of the prominent characters that passed away during Season 4, which stunned a lot of viewers. Many other characters also passed away. The Duffers verified on Happy Sad Confused that the doctor had passed away “for real this time.” This is not the first time that Brenner has seemed to “bite the dust” in this series; however, it is the first time that this has happened.
Eddie Munson, a newcomer and fan favorite, also sacrificed his life in order to defend Dustin and Hawkins from a swarm of Demobats. Joseph Quinn, an actor, said to E! that it is quite obvious that he passed away. Information that he is trying to make a cameo appearance on the program as Eddie, even if it is just for a short time. Quinn expressed his enthusiasm by saying, “I’d be very up for it.” “But, yeah, let’s see what happens.”
Last but not least, poor Max passed away for a short time when Vecna fractured her bones, which enabled him to construct the enormous gate that leads to the Upside Down. In spite of the fact that Eleven was able to restart her heart, Max was left in a comatose condition, which did not reveal her final destiny. The statement that Sink made to Deadline was as follows: “I have no idea what’s coming in [season 5] and what that looks like.” Given that Max is definitely in a coma and Eleven is unable to locate her in the vacuum, the plot of Max’s narrative is now in a state of great uncertainty. Can somebody tell me where she is and what condition she is in at this point?”.
We don’t really know who may depart the realm of the living in Stranger Things season 5, and there hasn’t been much information published about it. However, we do know that it might happen. Paul Reiser, the actor, said that he is unable to reveal the identity of the person who would pass away in the last season of the program since he does not know. Do you see a small red light on me here? If I were to inform you that there is a bullet… He made a joke about the fact that someone was always keeping an eye on us. Taking into consideration this comment, it seems that Netflix is concealing secrets with the same kind of meticulous care that Marvel Studios does with its releases. It is going to be necessary for us to wait in order to find out what takes place.
In the fifth season of Stranger Things, what new information will we discover about the Upside Down?
The Upside Down has been one of the show’s most confounding mysteries for a very long time. The fourth season showed that this parallel reality was not always like this and that it seemed to be the same as Hawkins on the day that the series started, which was the day that Eleven initially opened the Mothergate. Season 4 also revealed that this parallel universe is an almost perfect duplicate of the human world.
As stated by Netflix Life, the next season will provide viewers with the answers they have been searching for about this peculiar universe. During an interview, the Duffer Brothers said that they had been working on a 25-page paper that detailed the mythology of the series, notably the Upside Down, ever before they began production on the first season. Ross Duffer said that the only aspect of Upside Down knowledge that is not explored in volume 2 of the fourth season is the mythology itself. “We make a passing reference to it. There is a good chance that someone on Reddit will be able to put it all together, but a lot of those answers pertain to the Upside Down, or that is essentially what the foundation of season 5 is about.
The relationship between Stranger Things: The First Shadow and the fifth season
The famous Netflix series recently took over London’s West End with its stage play prequel, Stranger Things: The First Shadow. The piece covers the beginnings of Henry Creel and many of the show’s other adult characters. Stranger Things: The First Shadow was performed in London. As stated by the Duffers in an email to Entertainment Weekly, “The First Shadow definitely gives fans some not-so-subtle teases and hints as to where certain storylines are heading in season 5.” Fans of the show may wish to follow this play. It alluded to a number of concepts and ideas that we will investigate more during the course of the program.
It is revealed in The Original Shadow that Henry originally encountered the Upside Down (which was referred to as “Dimension X” at the time) when he was a youngster and lived in Nevada. After being infected by the Mind Flayer, he returns to Earth twelve hours later with his psychic abilities and an excessive propensity to murder. He also has an uncontrollable need to kill. Due to the fact that the Mind Flayer most likely manipulated Henry’s memories in order to convince him to accept the life narrative he gave the heroes in season 5, this twist gives the impression that the Mind Flayer will wind up being the show’s ultimate enemy after all.
During the course of the play, it was also revealed that Bob’s sister, Patty, had a love relationship with Henry when he was a kid. This relationship enabled Henry to maintain his humanity prior to becoming Vecna and embracing his evil. Since Patty is able to make it through the play, it is possible that she may come back to Hawkins in the fifth season to assist in putting an end to Vecna once and for all.
The fifth season of Stranger Things is going to be the show’s last season, right?
A confirmation has been made by the Duffer Brothers that the narrative and storyline of Stranger Things will, in fact, come to an end in the fifth season. This indicates that by the time everything is finished, Eleven, her friends and companions, the Upside Down, and the majority of the individuals connected in the novel will have reached sunset, ideally with a satisfactory conclusion.
What comments did David Harbour make regarding the fifth season of Stranger Things?
In an interview with Discussing Film, David Harbour was candid about the fact that the fifth season of the show ought to be its last season. He said this when discussing the next season. Even though I wasn’t a part of the production, I still believe it’s a fantastic show, he remarked. At this point, we are approximately nine years away from shooting the first season, and I believe that it is time for it to come to an end. On the other hand, it, of course, is somewhat bittersweet.
The good news is that even if this is the last season of the main series, there is a possibility that there may be further programs and material offered by Netflix that are situated in the Stranger Things world. The Duffers have hinted at the possibility of doing one or two spinoffs. “There are still many more exciting stories to tell within the world of Stranger Things,” they remarked in an interview with Variety throughout the course of their conversation. There are fresh secrets, new adventures, and new heroes who are unexpected.
Finn Wolfhard is the only person who is aware of the nature of the Stranger Things spinoff program.
It would seem that Finn Wolfhard was able to correctly identify the primary idea behind the new program. “Finn Wolfhard, who is no doubt one of the most brilliant children in the world, was able to properly identify what the story was going to be about. However, nobody else is aware of this save for Finn!”
After some time had passed, they continued by saying, “We haven’t told anyone the idea yet, much less written it.” We believe that everyone, even Netflix, will be taken aback when they hear the notion since it is so drastically different from what they are used to.
Whatever the circumstances may be, we are in for a crazy trip with the Duffers, so make sure you fasten your seatbelt while you still have the opportunity to do so.

What time will production begin on the fifth season of Stranger Things?
Netflix has verified that production on the last season of Stranger Things has officially commenced. This news comes after recent rumors said that shooting for the fifth season of the program had begun the previous week. Despite the fact that no more information was disclosed, Netflix did publish a photograph that was shot by Atsushi Nishijima on December 6, 2023, at the cast table read. From left to right, you can see Noah Schnapp, Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Cara Buono, Joe Keery, Amybeth McNulty, Charlie Heaton, Brett Gelman, Maya Hawke, Natalia Dyer, Jamie Campbell Bower, Priah Ferguson, Linda Hamilton, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Ross Duffer, Matt Duffer, Finn Wolfhard, and in case anyone was worried about the return of Max, Sadie Sink is there as well.
Stranger Things season 5 will begin main filming in January, according to Variety, which was the first publication to publish this information. On January 5, Heaton, Keery, Hawke, and Dyer were apparently seen on location in Atlanta, according to several social media platforms. These actors are particularly notable for their roles as the program’s young protagonists, Jonathan, Steve, Robin, and Nancy. At this point in the show, all of these individuals have already participated in Upside Down.
On January 9, PopBase tweeted the photograph that can be seen below. It depicts the actors Maya Hawke and Joe Keery getting ready to film a scene for the forthcoming fifth season of Stranger Things.
On February 17, Ross Duffer posted on Instagram the first glimpse of what Nancy Wheeler will look like in the fifth season of the popular television show.
Despite the fact that the new picture does not provide a great deal of information on Nancy’s current situation, it does imply that some time has passed since the fourth season. In addition to her longer hair, she is dressed in clothing that is designed for winter weather. To what extent does the passage of time differ? Possibly, Ross will provide us with other hints in his postings on Instagram.
On March 15, Ross Duffer uploaded a fresh carousel of photographs to his Instagram account with the description “Weeks 9–10.” The first photograph is a picture of Harbour’s Hopper. Throughout the years, Hopper has been known to rock a distinctive mustache. On the other hand, the new photograph reveals that Hopper has grown a new beard. The subsequent photographs include a behind-the-scenes look at the Duffers standing in front of the station wagon, a poster of Alf, a pair of feathery high heels, a photograph of the rainbow room with the caption “Blood References,” a billboard belonging to a real estate agent, a sign that reads “Brozone,” and a fishbowl filled with marbles that represent the number of days that have been filmed in season 5.
In the fifth season of Stranger Things, what exactly is going on with Max?
Another day, and yet another production photograph (or two) of Stranger Things season 5 has been making its way onto Twitter. This time, it was DiscussingFilm that provided two new photographs from the series. Both of the images feature Sadie Sink, who plays Max, and Caleb McLaughlin, who plays Lucas, at what seems to be a critical moment in the series.
In order to refresh everyone’s recollection, Max was left in a comatose condition when we last saw her in season 4, and some people believed that she could have passed away shortly after. It would seem that Max will have a more significant role to play in season 5 than was initially perceived. This is due to the fact that Sink’s popularity has increased since that season as a result of her critically lauded supporting performance in The Whale.

This is a sneak peek at what the fifth season of Stranger Things will be like.
We have just been given a preview of the new season of Stranger Things, which will be released in the near future. Using the Twitter handle @strangerwriters, which is the official account for the Stranger Things writing room, a writer who wishes to remain anonymous sent the following tweet:
Holy cow! Even though it does not provide any specifics, the tweet does provide a decent indication of what the fifth season will be like: it will be epic like the fourth season, but it will have a more personal touch like the first season of the program. In light of the fact that the authors would most likely want to continue investigating the wider picture and determining how strong the Upside Down can be in the final season, this makes perfect sense. In the fourth season, there were more monsters, more people, and a more in-depth background regarding Eleven, Vecna’s origins, and how the Upside Down came to be in Hawkins. If you recall correctly, the fourth season included all of these things.
As this is the last season, the writers want to return to what made the show so special: a close emphasis on the four friends, Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and Will, and how their friendship benefitted people around them, including Joyce, Sheriff Hopper, Eleven, Nancy, and Jonathan. Furthermore, they want to return to the fact that this is the final season. In light of the fact that the conclusion of the fourth season brought everyone back to Hawkins, it would make perfect sense to return to the tight concentration that the first season had on those individuals.
Wolfhard, who was absent from Dustin, Lucas, and Will for the duration of the fourth season, is considered to be one of the performers who is delighted to be returning to Hawkins. When Wolfhard saw the fourth season, he was “jealous” of the sequences that took place in Hawkins. As a result, he is pleased that the main group of characters will be all together in the fifth season.
My favorite part of the show was watching the other men in Hawkins, and that was true even after I had finally seen it. According to Wolfhard, who was interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter, “I just liked that storyline so much.” “So, sure, it was absolutely a shame that we weren’t able to be with everyone all the time while we were shooting 4, but filming 5 was the whole opposite. Everyone is always present in the same place.
Regarding Eleven, Millie Bobby Brown said that she was struck speechless and walked away very slowly after seeing the finale of her character scribbled on the whiteboard of the filmmakers. This occurred despite the fact that she was unaware of how the series would conclude. What type of conclusion would leave her in such a state of shock is something that one can only imagine. Despite this, Brown has been promoting the fifth season of the program, claiming that the end of the show’s episodes is “unbelievable.”
Leaving someone behind is a difficult task, particularly for Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin)
A number of the show’s stars have expressed their concern over the show’s impending conclusion, since the fifth season is scheduled to be the last one. Gaten Matarazzo, who portrays Dustin in the program, is one of the actors represented here. In order to promote his new Broadway musical, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, the actor made a recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Naturally, Fallon couldn’t help but inquire about Stranger Things, and Gaten was more than eager to express his rather depressed sentiments over the conclusion of the show.
Recently, Gaten was seen on social media filming a scene in which Dustin seems to be visiting Eddie’s headstone. The monument is defaced, which is most likely a reference to the film Carrie, which was released in 1976. Without a shadow of a doubt, Gaten’s legendary character seems to be setting the stage for an emotionally charged conclusion to their storyline.
It’s not all a game, so don’t worry about it
During an interview with Metro that took place on the red carpet for the new Stranger Things play in London, the Duffer Brothers went on record to disprove a widely held fan belief about the conclusion of the show. For the purpose of explaining the many similarities that exist between the storyline and the well-known role-playing game, the idea proposes that the show will ultimately be a lengthy and intricate Dungeons & Dragons game that is played by the major characters of the program.
On the other hand, the Duffer Brothers have categorically rejected the conjecture, with Matt providing a resounding “no” in response to the proposition. Ross continued by saying that this “would be the equivalent of ‘that’s all a dream.'” The brothers reaffirmed that “they’ve known where they’ve been going for a while” and that they “feel comfortable with it.” Fans may have to wait a little bit longer to see their conclusion, but at least they can have peace of mind knowing that it won’t be a cop-out.
