Summary
Netflix has revealed its lineup for the month of June 2024, and the famous streaming service is introducing a multitude of new movies and television episodes over the following few weeks. These new additions include returning fan favorites as well as new additions that seem to be destined to become staples in the year to come.
In the month of June, Netflix will be adding “Hit Man,” which is expected to be one of the most successful films of the year. Glen Powell plays the role of a phony contract killer in this comedy-thriller, which was directed by Richard Linklater. Powell gets into trouble when he meets a needy lady who is in need of his services.
New on Netflix in June 2024
This is only the beginning of the new additions to the Netflix collection that have been released this month. “Hitler and the Nazis: Evil on Trail” is a documentary series that is already creating attention, and the second chapter of “Bridgerton” season 3 is likely to have users all over the world swooning. Additionally, you won’t want to miss the recently released romantic comedy “A Family Affair” starring Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman, as well as the last season of “Sweet Tooth.”
There are going to be a lot of new movies and episodes that are going to be released on Netflix, and in order to make sure that you don’t miss any of the new releases, we have compiled a comprehensive list for you below. In addition, you will discover a list of what is leaving Netflix in June, which will provide you with one more opportunity to see some of the most popular movies and series before they leave Netflix for the great streaming service in the sky (or more likely, a competing platform).
Check out our list of everything new to watch on streaming services in June, including the fourth season of The Boys and the second season of House of the Dragon, on which you may find further suggestions.
‘Sweet Tooth’ season 3
It is a delightful anomaly in this day and age when streaming services are frequently eager to terminate anything that isn’t a “Stranger Things” level smash. “Sweet Tooth” is a fantasy series that has sometimes gone under the radar on Netflix, but the fantasy series is going out on its own terms with a third and final season this month. Naturally, the third season of “Sweet Tooth” will start up where things left off at the conclusion of the second season. This will see Gus (Christian Convery), Jepperd (Nonso Anozie), Wendy (Naledi Murray), and Bear (Stefania LaVie Owen) embarking on a journey to Alaska, which is blanketed in snow, in order to find Gus’ mother, Birdie (Amy Seimetz). Fans won’t need much persuasion to watch this seventh and last season of “Sweet Tooth,” but if you haven’t seen the show before, you should make it a priority to catch up right now.
Netflix will begin streaming on June 6th.
‘Hit Man’
“Hit Man” received a score of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, and I can attest to the fact that it is more than worthy of that number. I was lucky enough to be able to see an early screening of the film at my neighborhood movie theater. Gary Johnson is a school teacher by day and an undercover hit guy by night working for the police, and Glen Powell plays the role of Gary Johnson in this mystery-comedy directed by Richard Linklater. The film is loosely based on a narrative that really occurred. However, when a desperate client named Madison (Adria Arjona) comes to Gary for assistance in escaping her abusive husband, Gary finds himself slipping into a dangerous world of deception that could have deadly consequences. Gary helps the New Orleans police department entrap those who are looking to hire an assassin by adopting a variety of fake personalities. Believe me when I say that Netflix has a winner on its hands with “Hit Man.” This show is hilarious, intelligent, and very captivating.
Netflix will begin streaming on June 7th.
‘Bridgerton’ season 3 part 2
The first half of the third season of “Bridgerton” ended on a dramatic cliffhanger (consider this your spoiler warning), and as a result, fans are eager to find out what happens after Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) proposes to Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) when the popular period drama returns to Netflix in the middle of June. The direction that the second half of the third season will take is a carefully held secret; nevertheless, given that this is “Bridgerton,” we can anticipate a great deal of high-society turmoil and more expensive clothes than you can count. The second portion of the third season of “Bridgerton” will consist of four episodes, but there is no need for fans of the historical romance series to be concerned since these episodes will not be the last chapters. There has already been a decision made by Netflix to continue “Bridgerton” for a fourth season.
Netflix will begin streaming on June 13th.
‘Trigger Warning’
In “Trigger Warning,” an original film produced by Netflix, Jessica Alba makes her comeback to the action genre. In the film, she plays the role of Parker, a Special Forces commando who returns to her hometown after the untimely loss of her father. Parker, who has just been given the responsibility of managing the family company, which is a pub in a small town, is striving to find out what happened to her father concurrently with her new obligations. Parker finds herself in conflict with a local gang that has a firm hold on the town as a result of her persistent pursuit of information, which swiftly goes from bad to worse. Parker, who is never one to back down from a battle, pulls on all of her expertise in order to discover the truth and put an end to the gang’s reign of terror without a doubt.
Starting on June 21st, see it on Netflix.
‘Worst Roommate Ever’
It is a true crime series called “Worst Roommate Ever” that investigates unsettling real-life incidents that are quite near to the viewer’s own life. The housemates who are portrayed in this episode are not the kind of people who would steal food from the refrigerator or bring friends over to stay on the sofa without giving you a heads-up; rather, these roommates are the kind of people who would commit murder. Using historical film and interviews with the victims, the documentary “Worst Roommate Ever” investigates stories of living conditions that deteriorate into unimaginable nightmare scenarios. If you see even just one episode of the documentary, you will probably wish to live alone. As was the case with the first season, this new chapter will be broken up into four separate episodes.
Beginning on June 25th, see it on Netflix.
‘A Family Affair’
With its own romantic comedy, Netflix is attempting to compete with Prime Video’s “The Idea of You.” The new romantic comedy will focus on an improbable romance between two individuals who are significantly different in age. But in this particular instance, there is also a third person engaged, and that is Zara, played by Joey King. As a former personal assistant to an egotistical movie star named Chris Cole (played by Zac Efron), Zara’s whole life is flipped upside down when she learns that her mother, Brooke (played by Nicole Kidman), is romantically connected with her former employer. Zara is adamant on keeping them apart, despite the fact that she is horrified by the scenario. However, as Chris and Brooke get increasingly intimate with one another, it becomes clear that this unique relationship may be more than just a moment of insanity, and it may provide the two of them with everything they have ever desired.
Beginning on June 28th, see it on Netflix.
‘Hitler and the Nazis: Evil on Trial’
Using a new point of view, the documentary titled “Hitler and the Nazis: Evil on Trial” intends to investigate one of the most dangerous eras in human history. It is an educational series that will employ never-before-heard audio reporting to document Hiter’s rise to power, which was facilitated by a campaign of misinformation, repression, and antisemitism, and his final fall from power. The series will be set to a soundtrack produced by Holocaust victims. Joe Berlinger, the director of this documentary, has expressed his desire to ensure that the atrocities committed during World War II by Hitler and the Third Reich are not lost to the passage of time and that future generations are able to learn valuable lessons from the darkest era in history. This documentary appears to be a vital watch, and it is not surprising that Berlinger has expressed this desire. It is reasonable to anticipate that this Netflix program will have a significant effect, given that the documentary has already garnered a considerable amount of attention on social media (mainly due to the dubious poster it features).
Netflix will begin streaming on June 5th.
