Samsung unveiled the Galaxy AI features with the Galaxy S24 smartphone series in January. Since then, a Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, or Galaxy S24 Ultra has been required in order to utilize Galaxy AI. That is going to change soon.
You won’t need a Galaxy S24 to use Galaxy AI anytime soon, as Samsung just revealed that it would be expanding the capabilities of Galaxy AI to a lot more devices.
Samsung will begin to distribute its One UI 6.1 upgrade, which has all of the Galaxy AI capabilities, to the following devices on March 28:
- Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra from Samsung
- Samsung Galaxy S23 FE
- The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5
- Flip 5 Samsung Galaxy Z
Furthermore, according to Samsung, One UI 6.1 will be accessible for the Wi-Fi variants of the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, Tab S9 Plus, and Tab S9 beginning “this week.”
Just to refresh your memory, Galaxy AI is made up of many AI-powered features. Google’s Circle to Search function, which enables you to quickly do a Google search for anything on your screen by circling or scribbling over it, is leading the way. It works quickly, easily, and shockingly well.
Moreover, strong AI picture editing capabilities, summarizing tools for voice recordings and notes, and translation tools for real-time translations and transcriptions of phone calls and in-person talks are offered. We advise avoiding the function that attempts to utilize artificial intelligence (AI) to change the tone of your typing. However, everything else is worthwhile exploring.
Prior confirmation from Samsung that its Galaxy AI features would remain free until the end of 2025 raises the possibility that they may eventually become more expensive. You have a long time until you have to worry about Galaxy AI costs since Samsung hasn’t said how much they will cost or when they will begin to charge you in 2026.
Keep a watch out for One UI 6.1 and all of its Galaxy AI deliciousness if you own any of the aforementioned phones or tablets. It will be available shortly.
