1.The Accountant (2016)
Christian Wolff, played by Ben Affleck, is a talented accountant who also happens to be on the autistic spectrum. He is better than anybody else at calculating complex figures. Wolff is also an exceptional marksman and a hand-to-hand fighting expert at the highest level of competition. Using a modest accounting business in Illinois as a cover for his complex money laundering enterprise, in which he assists criminal groups with their financial matters, Wolff is able to conceal his activities. On the other hand, Wolff accepts a genuine job, which is to conduct an audit of Living Robotics, after the discovery of an embezzlement plot by a financial discrepancy.
Furthermore, in the meantime, Treasury Director Ray King, played by J.K. Simmons, seeks the assistance of Marybeth Medina, played by Cynthia Addai-Robinson, in order to locate “The Accountant,” which is Wolff’s codename. Following the shocking discovery that Wolff makes, he is labeled as a marked man, which forces him to engage in a struggle for survival.
2. Mending the Line (2023)
Mending the Line, a drama directed by Stephen Camelio and set to be released in 2022, will focus on a number of topics, including PTSD, PTSD, and war trauma. As a result of an injury sustained in Afghanistan, Marine John Colter, played by Sinqua Walls, is sent to the United States to get treatment at a Veterans Affairs clinic. Having returned from combat, Fletcher is familiar with the experience of coping with both physical and mental wounds. Fletcher takes Colter under his wing and teaches him how to fly fish, which turns out to be a therapeutic hobby for the individual who had previously served in the Marine Corps. It will not be simple for Colter to triumph over the atrocities that he has experienced in Afghanistan; but, he is gradually coming to realize that he does not have to accomplish it by himself.
3. The Miracle Club (2023)
In Ballygar, Ireland, in the year 1967, three close friends named Lily (Maggie Smith), Eileen (Kathy Bates), and Dolly (Agnes O’Casey) are looking for a short-term break from their everyday lives at home. They are doing all in their power to win a trip to Lourdes, a holy town in France that is known for its miraculous occurrences. At the local raffle night, the women succeed in winning the trip with a little help from the priest who serves in their community.
First, their longtime friend Chrissie, played by Laura Linney, comes in Ballygar to attend the burial of her mother. This occurs before the gang departs for Lourdes. In the hopes that their own miracles would take place upon arrival, the three women extend an invitation to Chrissie to accompany them on their journey. The ladies, on the other hand, were not anticipating that the vacation would turn into a therapy session during which they would address their tangled past as friends.
4. Damsel (2024)
These words are printed on the poster: “This is not a fairytale.” In the film Damsel, Millie Bobby Brown is a young lady who finds herself in the middle of a fight for her life. It is very clear that Prince Henry cheated on the wrong damsel.
5. Irish Wish (2024)
Irish Wish is a new romantic comedy that is available on Netflix. In it, Lindsay Lohan travels to Europe. The work of novelist Paul Kennedy, played by Alexander Vlahos, is edited by Maddie Kelly, played by Lindsay Lohan. However, Paul is unaware of the fact that Maddie has a deep affection for him. The fact that Maddie’s closest friend Emma (Elizabeth Tan) is engaged to Paul puts a stop to her hopes of securing his affections, which is a terrible setback for Maddie. Maddie’s situation becomes much more difficult when Emma extends an invitation to her to serve as a bridesmaid at their wedding in Ireland.
While Maddie is in Ireland, she expresses her desire for Paul to marry her while she is sitting on a beautiful bench. To Maddie’s utter astonishment, the wish is granted, and she is able to wed the person who has been the love of her life. Maddie, on the other hand, gradually learns an important lesson: Be cautious about what you desire for. It is impossible to make someone love you, particularly if the person you are meant to be with is someone else.
