What time did the App Store go down?
DownDetector says that a lot of reports of problems with the App Store started coming in just after 6 p.m. ET. Reports seem to have risen to over 6,000, which means that the problem is pretty common.
When I tried to open the App Store, I got a message that said “Cannot Connect” and then “Something went wrong.” Try again, please.”
Only a few hours before, WhatsApp and Facebook had been down this afternoon.
Is Apple down for other sites too?
Not only was the App Store down, but so were other Apple services.
There were problems with Apple Podcasts, Apple Music, Apple TV, Apple Sports, and Apple Fitness+.
Is Apple back up and running?
Thank goodness, everything seems to be fine now. Almost all of Apple’s services are back to normal as of 7:40 p.m. ET. There is only one failure for Apple’s Developer ID Notary Service that can be seen on the Apple System Status page.
The App Store, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, and all the other Apple services we checked work as they should.
