films from Amazon Prime Video
If that is the case, then we have three fantastic films that are not as well known as they should be that are now available to watch on Amazon Prime Video this weekend (and you should absolutely see at least one of them):
Out of Sight (1998)
Ocean’s Eleven and Erin Brockovich are two of the most well-known films directed by Steven Soderbergh; yet, it is possible that his very greatest picture was made before either of those films. In the film Out of Sight, George Clooney, who previously appeared in “The Boys in the Boat,” plays the role of an escaped prisoner who finds himself attracted to Karen Sisco, played by Jennifer Lopez, who is a federal marshal.
Out of Sight provides us with enough opportunities to take pleasure in the lovely flirtations that these two individuals engage in, despite the fact that they are on opposing sides of the law. They discover that they are irresistibly pulled toward one another. Out of Sight is a dazzling criminal drama that boasts one of the finest closing set pieces of any movie of its type. Despite the fact that romance is the primary focus of this film, it is also a thrilling crime drama. There is something for each and every person.
Look at Out of Sight right now.
Charade
Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn were two of the most famous actors of their time period, and Charade brings them together in a film that is considered to be one of the most hilarious films that either of them has ever produced. After the two have fallen in love with one another, the film follows them as they learn that her husband has been killed by soldiers he served with during World War II. Hepburn’s character is the one who makes this discovery.
During the course of their pursuit of a wealth that was stolen by her husband, the circumstances get more absurd and confusing, to the point when the whole movie seems to be on the edge of breaking totally. Because Grant and Hepburn are so compelling, Charade treads the line precisely and is instead simply a crazy and crazily amazing journey. Thank goodness for that.
Right now, watch Charade.
Margin Call (2011)
Margin Call is a financial drama that takes place in a financial company on the day before the housing market bubble bursts, and it does a better job of captivating its audience than you would anticipate it would. The film is told from the point of view of a low-level employee who is aware of what is about to take place, and it records the activities that take place inside the company as the leadership determines what course of action to follow in reaction to this dreadful new reality.
One of the most brilliant aspects of Margin Call is that, despite the fact that it focuses on the absurdly affluent, it manages to avoid making any of these characters seem sympathetic. Do you find them compelling? Without a doubt, but almost in spite of the vocations that they have chosen. In addition, the film has an outstanding ensemble cast, with Paul Bettany, Zachary Quinto, Penn Badgley, Stanley Tucci, Demi Moore, and Jeremy Irons all delivering performances that are outstanding in their own careers.
Now is the time to see Margin Call.
