Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6.. From introducing three new Galaxy S phones to teasing its future Galaxy Ring, Samsung has already had a very busy 2024. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, the company’s future foldable, is purportedly now seen for the first time.

On February 28, leaker @OnLeaks and SmartPrix shared design renderings of the Fold 6 early in the morning. The Fold 6 first resembles the Galaxy Z Fold 5 from the previous year quite a bit. When the Fold 6 is unfolded, the small 6.2-inch cover screen on the exterior gives way to a 7.6-inch inner display. When folded, the Fold 6 is said to measure 153.5 x 132.5 x 6.1 mm, which makes it somewhat broader and shorter than the Fold 5.
The phone’s frame is where one significant design modification can be spotted in this instance. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 seems to feature a more angular corner profile and a flatter frame than its predecessor, which is reminiscent of the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Ultra. Although it’s difficult to predict how obvious this altered design will be in person, it’s something to keep an eye out for.

Apart from that, however, not much has changed from the previous several years’ Galaxy Z Fold releases. A hole-punch cutout for the camera on the cover screen, an under-display camera underneath the inner display, and a triple-camera system on the rear are all present. A fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, a USB-C charging connector, and the standard locations of your volume controls, microphones, etc. are all there.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is shown in renderings seeming to be black, which seems like a safe choice. Once release date approaches, we can almost surely anticipate more colors as well.It’s not unexpected that Samsung would probably go cautiously with the Z Fold 6, but it’s still disheartening that not much seems to be changing.
Another hesitant upgrade year for the Fold 6 isn’t the best news in a market where the OnePlus Open is available, Google is poised to do fascinating things with the Pixel Fold 2, and other, smaller businesses are also coming into the foldable game. As with the S24 family, we’ll most likely see new AI capabilities and performance enhancements, but other than that, nothing seems to be happening.
There are still a lot of unanswered questions about Samsung’s plans for the Fold 6’s software, cameras, battery life, and other features. Don’t expect a groundbreaking release this year, however, if the design is any guide to the type of year the Z Fold series will have.
