Apple made the announcement of two new iPad Air models at the “Let Loose” event. These new iPad Air models include 11-inch and 13-inch variants. First of its kind, this is the first time that two different iPad Air models have been released at the same time. There is no change to the Liquid Retina display that is included on the new iPad Air models; instead, the 12 megapixel front-facing camera has been relocated to the edge of the landscape mode.
The new iPad Air
The landscape speakers are included with both variants of the iPad Air. When compared to the 10.9-inch model, the 13-inch model offers twice as much bass as you would expect. Both versions make use of the Apple M2 processor, which may also be found in the iPad Pro models of 2022 as well as in a great number of other Macs. This new technology, according to Apple, makes the iPad Air fifty percent quicker than the previous generation, which was equipped with an M1 chip. To add insult to injury, the M2 is three times quicker than the iPad Air versions that are equipped with the A14 Bionic processor.
From the perspective of accessories, the iPad Air is compatible with the Magic Keyboard and supports Apple Pencil Hover, which adds an additional level of accuracy. Similar to earlier generations, it is equipped with Touch ID.
The 2024 iPad Air is offered in a variety of colors, including blue, purple, space gray, and starlight. It is encased in aluminum that is made entirely from recyclable materials and offers storage capacities of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB. The variant with an 11-inch screen begins at $599, while the version with a 13-inch screen starts at $799. Currently, both models are available for preorder, and they are scheduled to arrive the next week.
