Galaxy Ring.. Samsung gave us a sneak peek at the Galaxy Ring’s design during the Galaxy S24 Unpacked event in January. Since then, a number of rumors have stated that the new wearable from the massive Korean company is expected to launch later this year. Samsung has now revealed further information regarding the Galaxy Ring and once more hinted at its impending release.
Android Authority was present at a press meeting when Samsung’s vice president, Dr. Hon Pak, disclosed that the Galaxy Ring will have a “long” battery life. The CEO said that the market expects these kinds of gadgets to last more than a few days, although he did not give any specific figures. In addition, Samsung is aiming to maximize the battery life of the ring before to its release.
It seems that the Galaxy Ring will also have settings that allow you to use all of its functions or increase the battery life. Samsung’s smart ring should last around the same amount of time as the well-known Oura Ring, which lasts between four and seven days on a charge.
Samsung also said that the Galaxy Ring is equipped with “leading” sensors. Once more, no information was given on the sensors that will be included in the wearable. To provide individualized health insights, it will utilize your heart rate variability, activity level, sleep data, and heart rate. Before being available for additional Galaxy smartphones later this year, this functionality will make its premiere on the Galaxy Watch 6 when coupled with a Samsung Galaxy S24.
