Summary
Apps, pictures, movies, and other things may all be hidden in a different folder using the Samsung One UI-only feature called Secure Folder. It is compatible with both affordable and top-tier Samsung phones, such as the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This post explains where to locate Secure Folder on your Samsung phone if you switched on the feature but are unsure how to use it.
How does Secure Folder work?
You may use Secure Folder by tapping the app icon that appears in the app drawer after it has been activated. If you disable the option to allow it to show there, this icon can be hidden. To add or delete it from your app drawer, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings on your Galaxy device.
- Navigate to Security and privacy.
- Select Secure Folder and enter your password or PIN.
- Flip the toggle beside Add Secure Folder to Apps screen to turn it on.
Use the Secure Folder toggle located in the Quick Settings panel to add and remove the Secure Folder icon from your app drawer without having to open the Settings app each time. By following these procedures, you may enable the toggle, which is not present by default:
- Swipe down twice from the top of the screen to open Quick Settings.
- Swipe left until you see the + button at the end. Tap it.
- Look for Secure Folder from the Available buttons section at the top.
- Long press it until it floats, and drag it to the bottom section.
- Tap Done.
The Secure Folder symbol appears in the app drawer and glows blue when you touch it. Re-tapping it causes it to go gray and takes Secure Folder out of the app drawer.
