Minecraft,.. Considering how quickly the sandbox game has expanded over the years, there is a ton of exploring and building to be done in Minecraft. But in addition to resource gathering and making new equipment, you may tame a wide range of creatures in Minecraft. Adorable cats are among the most popular creatures that can be tamed.
For years, cats have been tame in Minecraft and are wonderful companions. Once domesticated, they may even provide you with companionship while you’re at home. They’ll hang out with you on your trips. In Minecraft, taming a cat is a rather easy procedure, although it does need some effort and some particular tools.
Are you trying to find a new friend? Here’s how to tame a cat in Minecraft, along with information on where to locate cats and their behavior.
Where to find cats
You’ll have to locate a stray cat to take home and release into the wild since there are no animal adoption facilities in Minecraft. Fortunately, cats are not too hard to locate. In settlements with four beds and at least one person, stray cats lay their eggs. A town will spawn one cat (up to ten) for every four beds, so in a typical village, you’ll probably have a range of colors to select from.
In wetlands, black cats are often common around witch homes.
In the Xbox, Windows, iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch versions of the game, known as the Bedrock Edition, black cats are more likely to appear during full moons.
Cat actions
A cat that has been effectively tamed will follow you wherever you go. Don’t worry if you lose sight of your cat; they can teleport to a player who is 12 blocks away. Tamed cats will not stay still for very long and will explore the area surrounding the player until they are told to sit. If you wanted an indoor cat to remain in your house, for example, you might train it to sit and keep still.
Cats will naturally climb onto furniture when they live there. They are often seen perched on beds, chests, and stoves. Like in real life, cats may sometimes get in the way of your progress in Minecraft, making chests, furnaces, and other items inaccessible until you relocate them. You may push them out of the way, entice them away with raw fish, or shift the blocks beneath them if they get into anything you don’t want them to be playing with.
There’s a potential that a domesticated cat would sleep close to a player when they go to bed at night. A pet cat may wake up and provide you with a gift; they may gather raw chicken, twine, a rabbit’s foot, and other objects.
How to tame a cat
Step 1: Gather some raw cod or raw salmon from a local lake or river before attempting to tame the cat.
Step 2: Set up the uncooked fish and approach the stray cat cautiously. Serve the uncooked fish to the sceptical cat.
Step 3: Keep giving the cat additional raw fish until it starts to show signs of taming, such as hearts appearing over its head. Before you do this, make sure you have enough of fish since you will probably need to feed it many times before it becomes friendly.
Step 4: The hearts will vanish and the cat will get a collar after it has had enough to eat. You have a cat as a pet now!
