Summary
On Netflix right now. When it comes to the new thrillers that have been uploaded to Netflix during the month of May, the streaming service is a touch lacking. However, the new arrivals are ones that have the potential to get people talking. Miller’s Girl is one of them. It is a thriller that portrays Wednesday star Jenna Ortega in a much more mature light, despite the fact that her role is still young. Additionally, the legal thriller that was released in 2019 by Mark Ruffalo, titled Dark Waters, is definitely worthy of a broader audience on Netflix.

Velvet Buzzsaw (2019)
Living in the realm of art is a peculiar experience, especially when the tormented souls of deceased artists begin to wreak havoc on the world outside of the art world. The cards that have been dealt to us in Dan Gilroy’s extremely weird film, Velvet Buzzsaw, are as follows: Jake Gyllenhaal plays the role of Morf Vandewalt, an eccentric art critic who comes into contact with the possessed artworks of Vetril Dease, played by Alan Mandell. Almost immediately, the main characters are subjected to a number of ghastly events, including death, dismemberment, and other gruesome happenings, which causes us to question where the boundary between fact and fiction lies. The Velvet Buzzsaw is a game that you won’t forget since it is large, peculiar, and packed with color.

Due to the fact that the famed red dot of a rifle sight follows every move that the married couple makes, the battle for life in the harsh winter wilderness is a nightmare. Red Dot is an action-packed survival thriller that does a good job of making us feel just as disoriented and soaked in anxiety as the major actors in the film make us feel.

The Call (2020)
The novel The Conversation by Chung-hyun Lee follows two distinct timeframes, with a telephone conversation serving as the connecting element between the two periods. During the day, Seo-Yeon, played by Shin-hye Park, is living in the present, while Young-Sook, played by Jong-seo Jun, is hiding in the past. The other is the victim, whereas the first is a serial murderer. In addition to its nail-biting plot, somber tone, devoted performances, and lots of inventiveness, The Call is a unique combination of science fiction and psychological thrillers. We give it a high grade because of these qualities.

Hold the Dark (2018)
Hold the Dark is an adaptation of William Giraldi’s novel, and it is Jeremy Saulnier’s second screenplay after the very violent Green Room. This time, he moves the story to the huge wilderness of Alaska. Medora Slone, played by Riley Keough, is certain that a pack of violent wolves stole her little kid. The animal specialist, who is played by Jeffrey Wright and plays the role of wolf-tracker Russell Core, is recruited by Medora Slone. While Russell is in the process of doing his inquiry, Vernon, Medora’s husband, who is played by Alexander Skarsgård, returns from Iraq. While Russell is beginning to discover more than he bargained for in the harsh tundra, Vernon, who is troubled by the atrocities of frontline fighting, starts an all-out spiral into madness. Jeremy Saulnier, a veteran of the independent film industry, offers a gloomy reinterpretation of Giraldi’s already ghastly text, filled with large-scale action scenes and a dash of folklore horror, working with the largest budget he has ever worked with.

The least that Josef wants Aaron to think is that this is the case. The viewer is going to find out that reality is far more ominous than they first thought. Creep is a film that seems like it is very little, yet it is full of suspense and misdirections as Josef’s motives get murkier. Creep takes the found footage subgenre to exciting new areas, and it is a picture that is packed with these elements.
In the Shadow of the Moon (2019)
Our narrative starts in the year 1988. Thomas Lockhart, played by Boyd Holbrook, is confronted with a horrific investigation in Philadelphia. The inquiry involves many victims who all passed away at the same time due to bleeding, and each of the victims’ skulls had puncture marks from the same incident. After pursuing paths that always lead to an even more profound mystery, Lockhart’s inquiry is put on hold until nine years later, when a string of murders that are similar to the originals are again discovered. Because it is a caper that was developed just for Netflix, In the Shadow of the Moon is an exciting genre dive that you won’t want to miss out on. As Joe tries all in his power to assist the person who called him, it quickly becomes apparent that this one call may have more to do with Joe and his history than he is aware of at the moment. It is possible that The Guilty is not as good as the Danish film that was released in 2018, but the talent that is onscreen and the close-quarters photography are unquestionably intriguing. The Guilty is a thriller that will make you clench your fists, and Gyllenhaal gives an immensely engaging performance as the main character.

Immediately upon the reappearance of his sister, Jin-seok observes that his whole nuclear unit is behaving in an odd manner. After that, they broke the news to him that the year in question was not 1997 but rather 2017. For the love of God, what is going on here? The miners are trapped inside their working quarters. However, when Mother Nature starts to take control of the situation, Mike and his backup squad are in for a lot more than they agreed to deal with. The Ice Road plays out in a manner that is quite similar to a lot of Liam Neeson’s cinematic adventures.
