movies that will be departing Netflix
The six films that were mentioned before are not the only ones on the list. A total of five extra films that will be leaving Netflix at the end of April were chosen by us. A psychological thriller that won an Academy Award and revolved around jazz, a comedy that became a cultural phenomenon in the 1990s, and a comic book villain origin tale that grossed a billion dollars are among the films that we have selected.
Joker (2019)
Before Joker: Folie à Deux, in which he sings and dances with the love of his life, you should explore Joker and the origin story of Arthur Fleck, played by Joaquin Phoenix, who would go on to become one of the most prominent criminals in Gotham City as the film progresses. Despite suffering from a serious mental disorder, Arthur is motivated to pursue a career as a comic and clown. Because of the bullying and rejection he has received from society, Arthur has become a member of the criminal underworld in the city.
During the course of his gradual descent into insanity, Arthur develops a greater sense of self-assurance and adopts the identity of the Joker, a nihilistic clown who becomes a symbol of anarchy and disorder. Joker is a wonderful showcase for Phoenix, whose daring interpretation of DC’s legendary villain led to him winning the prize for Best Actor at the 2020 Academy Awards. Whether you love it or loathe it, The Joker is a brilliant showcase for Phoenix.

Silver Linings Playbook (2012)
Aaron Rodgers once said, “How can you not be romantic about football?” and I couldn’t agree more. Football is a beautiful game that has jaw-dropping plays, unique characters, and passionate fan groups. As a result, the sport serves as the ideal background for the romance comedy Silver Linings Playbook. After serving time in a mental facility, Pat Solitano Jr., played by Bradley Cooper, is discharged and placed under the care of his parents, including his father, Robert De Niro, who is a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Pat, a guy who has undergone a transformation, makes it his mission to look for the good aspects in every circumstance. Pat is working out one day when he gets an intriguing offer from Tiffany Maxwell, who is separated from her husband and is played by Jennifer Lawrence. If Pat is willing to dance with Tiffany, then Tiffany will assist Pat in reuniting with his wife, who has been alienated from him. As Pat starts to develop feelings for Tiffany, he is compelled to reevaluate his relationships and figure out what aspects of his life are most important to him. Will Pat be able to take a journey down memory lane, or will he have everything he needs ready and waiting for him?
The Silver Linings Playbook is available to stream on Netflix.
Dumb and Dumber (1994)
1994 marked the beginning of Jim Carrey’s rise to the position of the most popular comedy film star in the world. Carrey had starring roles in three films during that year: Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, The Mask, and Dumb and Dumber, which is leaving Netflix this month. In spite of the fact that they are as stupid as rocks, best friends Lloyd Christmas (played by Jim Carrey) and Harry Dunne (played by Jeff Daniels) continue to work hard to make prosperous careers for themselves. Mary Swanson, played by Lauren Holly, is the lady whom Lloyd, a limo driver, drives to the airport. Lloyd develops feelings for Mary Swanson.
When Mary makes the conscious decision to leave a briefcase at the airport, Lloyd steps in to find it and return it. However, Lloyd is not aware that Mary requested a ransom in exchange for the case. For the purpose of returning the briefcase, Lloyd and Harry embarked on a road trip to Aspen, Colorado, a location where the beer flows like wine and beautiful women intuitively congregate like the salmon of Capistrano. Due to the fact that these two bumbling individuals became two of the most iconic comedy characters of the 1990s, it would be an understatement to suggest that shenanigans ensued.
Netflix is where you can watch Dumb and Dumber.
Whiplash (2014)
How much does it take to be great? The film Whiplash, directed by Damian Chazelle, tells the story of an ambitious musician’s quest for perfection through the eyes of the protagonist. The character of Miles Teller, Andrew Neiman, is a jazz drummer who is now in his first year of study at a famous music academy. His hero, Buddy Rich, is a terrific drummer, and Andrew’s ambition is to one day become just like him. The character of Terrence Fletcher, played by J.K. Simmons, recognizes Andrew’s promise and offers him a position in the school’s most prestigious ensemble band.
Andrew receives a smack in the face and a verbal assault from Fletcher on his first day with the band. Fletcher insults Andrew’s musical expertise throughout the day. In the event that Andrew is not moving at the appropriate pace, Fletcher even throws a chair at his head. It is possible that this may discourage the majority of musicians; nevertheless, it will only serve to inspire Andrew, who will push his friends and loved ones away in order to focus on improving his drumming skills. Whiplash is a wonderful analysis of the human spirit and what the greats are ready to do in order to be the greatest. Teller and Simmons both have outstanding performances in the film, which complements the film’s overall excellence.

Warrior (2011)
Warrior, a sports drama directed by Gavin O’Connor and released in 2011, is capable of causing even the most resolute person in the world to shed a few tears. Following his time spent serving in the Marine Corps, Tommy Riordan (played by Tom Hardy) seeks the assistance of his father, who has been separated from him for some time, in order to assist him in training for Sparta, a mixed martial arts competition that offers a grand prize of $5 million. Without Tommy’s knowledge, his elder brother Brendan, who is a physics teacher at a high school and is played by Joel Edgerton, also gets a slot in Sparta. He is expecting to win the money that would allow him to rescue his house from foreclosure.
The two brothers have a troubled history that has resulted in their separation from one another. It is now time for the brothers to resolve their disputes in the octagon, and they are headed in the same direction. There are several terrific mixed martial arts sequences that take place inside the cage in the film Warrior, which is an amazing sports movie. However, the film is at its most effective when it focuses on conflict outside of the cage, as it depicts two brothers and their father, who is recovering from alcoholism, confronting the issues that they are experiencing in their family. Compassion and grace are not to be underestimated when it comes to warriors.
