Early in 2023, the Exynos 1380 made its debut with the Galaxy A24. Using a 5nm manufacturing technology, it has four Cortex-A78 cores with a maximum clock speed of 2.4 GHz to handle demanding workloads and four Cortex-A55 cores with a maximum clock speed of 2.0 GHz to save power for simpler activities. It incorporates an ARM Mali-G68 MP5 GPU, which operates at 950 MHz and is enough for the majority of daily graphics processing tasks. The Samsung Galaxy A54, which was the Galaxy A55’s predecessor, also used this same processor.

The 5,000mAh battery included in the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 can be charged at a rate of 25 watts using connected means. Wireless charging is not available on either model, but both should have all-day battery life.

There are three things to think about before choosing to spend more money on the Galaxy A55 rather than the Galaxy A35. The performance and speed are the first and most important factors. The Exynos 1480 processor found in the Galaxy A55 is a more recent model than the Exynos 1380 seen in the Galaxy A35. Although we haven’t tested the Exynos 1480 ourselves, the specs suggest that it will be a significant improvement.

Examining the parameters of the camera is also crucial. The Galaxy A35 only features a 13MP selfie camera, while the Galaxy A55 has a 32MP front-facing camera. Whereas the A35 only has an 8MP ultrawide camera, the A55 has a 12MP ultrawide camera. Nonetheless, the 50MP primary camera and the 5MP macro camera on both phones have the same specs. Overall, it seems like the Galaxy A55 has superior camera skills, particularly when it comes to wide-angle and selfie photography.

And then, there’s the variation in construction quality. The Galaxy A35’s frame is made of plastic, however the Galaxy A55’s is made of metal. This makes a big impact for some individuals, but not for others.
