There’s a new Android computer from Samsung that you may not have known about. That’s because the company quietly put out a new version of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite in Romania. There was no launch event, video, press release, or anything else to make the announcement.
There is now a model of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2024 on Samsung’s store in Romania. The tablet looks nice and has good specs, but we don’t know how much it costs or if or when it will be available in other countries.
There’s nothing shocking about the design here. It has a 10.4-inch TFT screen with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 and borders that are a good size around the screen. The back of the new Tab S6 Lite has an 8MP camera, and the front has a 5MP camera that is hidden by the edges. It comes in three colors: Oxford Gray, Chiffon Pink, and Mint. When you buy the tablet, a S Pen is already in the box.
Instead of saying what CPU it is, Samsung’s website only says that the 2024 Galaxy Tab S6 Lite has a “octa-core processor.” It looks like Samsung’s own Exynos 1280 chip, which is what was leaked before. Below the hood are 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage for the base model. A microSD card can be used to add more space. The phone also has a 7,040mAh battery, 15-watt USB charge, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and LTE connection that you can choose to use.
The 2024 Galaxy Tab S6 Lite doesn’t have any new specs, but it does look like a good middle Android tablet. The new Samsung model 2024 should not cost too much if it comes out in the U.S. The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022 model cost $349 when it first came out, but you can now get it for as little as $200. If the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2024 comes out in the U.S., it will likely cost the same $349 or something close to that.
Even though Samsung is putting out Android tablets without making a fuss, we’re still waiting for Apple to release its first new iPads in over a year.
