Summary
It is possible that Netflix is still experiencing the impacts of the Hollywood strikes that occurred in the previous year; yet, the streaming service continues to release new smash dramas that have earned their position among the most popular series on the platform. The most recent dramas to be released this month are Baby Reindeer and A Man in Full, both of which were originally thought of as miniseries that could stand on their own. Despite the fact that most of the show’s unresolved issues have been resolved, we would not be surprised if the former were to get a second season.
The second drama that we are going to examine this month is Queen of the South, which is a crime series that was shown in the USA for a total of five successful seasons. It is a highly bingeable addition to the finest drama series that are available on Netflix, and if you scroll down, you will discover further top dramas that are available to view.
Baby Reindeer (2024)
The fact that comedian and actor Richard Gadd used his real-life experience with a woman who was allegedly stalking him to create his successful Netflix comedy Baby Reindeer, only for the exposure that resulted from the series to bring the woman back into his life, is a terribly ironic situation. Every single one of the show’s names, including his own, were altered by Gadd. Donny Dunn, played by Gadd, is the protagonist of this story. He is seen showing generosity to Martha Scott, played by Jessica Gunning, before he comes to regret his actions.
Martha’s early emotions to Donny were nice, but she eventually developed an unhealthy obsession with him and began sending him an abnormally high amount of texts. And when Donny makes an effort to make Martha feel better, he just succeeds in provoking her anger. The fact that Martha has been convicted of stalking in the past is something that Donny discovers too late, and it will not be an easy effort to convince her to change her mind.

A Man in Full (2024)
There is little doubt that the adaptation of Tom Wolfe’s A Man in Full, directed by David E. Kelley, is not short on star power. In the role of Charlie Croker, a real estate magnate who has been forced into bankruptcy, Jeff Daniels plays the part of the protagonist. While Charlie’s adversaries are smelling the proverbial blood in the water, he is making plans to maintain his ownership of the business.
While all is going on, Conrad Hensley, played by Jon Michael Hill, a guy who is only tangentially linked to Charlie, is engaged in the most difficult legal battle of his life. Roger White, played by Aml Ameen, is the fixer that Charlie has selected to represent him. White is not a specialist in criminal law, and Conrad’s freedom is at stake when he is detained for allegedly attacking a law enforcement officer. White’s expertise lies in other areas.

Queen of the South (2016-2021)
There are certain similarities between Queen of the South and Breaking Bad, particularly in the manner in which Teresa Mendoza (played by Alice Braga) ascends from a position of poverty to a prominent position in the criminal underground. On the other hand, that does not occur overnight. During the first episode of the series, Teresa is compelled to leave Mexico in order to avoid the wrath of a drug gang. Teresa is able to find refuge in the United States of America, where she is employed by Doña Camila Vargas, portrayed by Veronica Falcón, who is the leader of the Vargas Cartel in Dallas.
Teresa not only makes herself important to Vargas by means of cunning actions that are created out of desperation and ambition, but she also carves herself her own drug empire via these same means. As a result of Teresa’s quick ascension, she is forced to make several moral concessions in order to maintain her life, which will result in the loss of the most admirable aspects of her personality.
Queen of the South is available to watch on Netflix.
Black Sails (2014-2018)
At the beginning of the 18th century, the events of Black Sails take place during the Golden Age of Piracy. However, Captain James Flint, played by Toby Stephens, is aware that this period of time may not be around for very long. Flint’s response to the problem of the long and creeping reach of civilization, which poses a danger to the way of life of the pirates in New Providence, is to begin positioning himself to become the pirate king.
Flint is facing a more pressing issue, which is that his crew is irate and on the point of rebelling against authority. During this time, Long John Silver, played by Luke Arnold, has just joined Flint’s crew. He is a man with his own purpose, and he is prepared to do everything in order to ensure his own survival. Flint has not yet come to the realization that his destiny is intertwined with Silver’s, and that the future of New Providence is dependent upon both of them individually.

Killing Eve (2024–Present)
A story of two obsessions, Killing Eve is a literary work. During the course of the story, the main character, Eve Polastri, played by Sandra Oh, is a former analyst for MI5 who is recruited by MI6 to assist in the search for an assassin named Villanelle, played by Jodie Comer. Eve’s feelings of attraction to Villanelle, however, become stronger as she acquires more information about her.
Villanelle, in a similar fashion, develops her own fixation with Eve, which eventually becomes nearly amorous. The whole situation would be much more endearing if Villanelle did not act like such a heartless murderer. It is possible that Eve will not be able to let Villanelle go, yet this murderer may wind up being the one who brings about her demise.

One Day (2024)
The relationship between Emma Morley (Ambika Mod) and Dexter Mayhew (Leo Woodall) has been going on for twenty years, and One Day provides viewers with fourteen episodes to watch it. However, the connection that Dexter and Emma created with one other turns out to be more long-lasting than either of them had anticipated. This is despite the fact that they missed out on the opportunity to hook up on their last day of college.
Despite the fact that they have been dating other people over the course of the years, Emma and Dexter continue to find their way back to each other as friends. Before they are ready to make a commitment to being with each other, they just need to continue working on becoming better versions of themselves.
On Netflix, you may watch “One Day.”
The Resident (2013-2023)
Despite being less soapy than Grey’s Anatomy, The Resident served as Fox’s counterpart to the popular medical drama Grey’s Anatomy for a period of six seasons. The series was led by Matt Czuchry, who played the role of Conrad Hawkins, the top resident at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital. Hawkins has a close relationship with Nicolette ‘Nic’ Nevin, a nurse practitioner working at the hospital, under the direction of Emily VanCamp.
The Resident is an ensemble series, and as such, it has a big cast that changes during the course of the show’s run. From the beginning to the end of the series, one thing that has been consistent is that Hawkins and his other medical professionals put forth a lot of effort to rescue and heal their patients while also managing their own personal turmoil.

The Gentlemen (2024–Present)
In this original drama produced by Netflix, Guy Ritchie has returned to the world of The Gentlemen; nevertheless, the program is not a retread of Ritchie’s film of the same name, which was released in 2019. Edward “Eddie” Horniman, played by Theo James, is the protagonist of this drama. He is a young man who has just inherited his father’s position as the Duke of Halstead, along with all of the money and obligations that come along with it.
If only Eddie’s father had informed him that the family was deeply involved in the marijuana business with a mobster named Robert “Bobby” Glass (Ray Winstone), then maybe it would not have come as such a surprise to Eddie. From this point on, Eddie must collaborate with Susan Glass, who is Glass’ daughter, played by Kaya Scodelario, in order to successfully traverse the criminal underground before it brings him and his family to ruin.
On Netflix, you may watch “The Gentlemen.”
Madam Secretary (2013-2019)
Despite the fact that Madam Secretary has not yet been adopted as a Netflix series like some of the other former network dramas, the fact that it ran for six seasons has provided it with a large number of episodes that can be seen in a single sitting. Téa Leoni plays the role of Elizabeth “Bess” Adams McCord, the lead character. McCord is a CIA analyst who finds herself catapulted to the center of presidential politics after being appointed Secretary of State.
In the course of the series, Tim Daly plays the role of Henry McCord, Elizabeth’s husband. Henry is a guy with a military history who has worked for the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). The narrative of the program focuses mostly on Elizabeth’s ability to handle high-pressure circumstances at work while also seeking to maintain a healthy balance in her personal life with her husband and their children. And in a manner that is reminiscent of a real-life Secretary of State, Elizabeth finally decides that she wants to run for the presidency herself.
Netflix is where you can watch Madam Secretary.
The Blacklist (2013–2023)
During his ten-year run on The Blacklist, James Spader played the part of Raymond “Red” Reddington, which provided him with the opportunity of a lifetime. The FBI task group that was ordered to catch Reddington is taken aback when he unexpectedly surrenders at the headquarters of the FBI. Reddington is a former officer in the United States Naval Intelligence who has since become a master criminal. Additionally, Reddington offers his assistance to Assistant Director Harold Cooper (Harry Lennix) in his search for some of the most dangerous criminals in the globe; however, this assistance is contingent upon Reddington being able to collaborate directly with rookie profiler Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone).
In spite of the fact that Elizabeth is understandably wary of Reddington’s interest in her, the FBI is unable to reject him when he gives findings on the investigation. However, it is impossible to anticipate Reddington’s manipulations and genuine objectives, and he is effective in providing Elizabeth with compelling grounds to question the identity of her husband, Tom Keen, who is played by Ryan Eggold.
On Netflix, you may watch “The Blacklist.”
Six Feet Under (2001-2005)
As a result of the fact that everyone in Six Feet Under passes away at some point in time, it is the responsibility of the Fisher family to get the remains ready for burial. Following the unexpected passing of their father, Nate Fisher (played by Peter Krause) and his brother David (played by Michael C. Hall) are given the responsibility of inheriting the family funeral home company. Additionally, the program follows their mother, Ruth Fischer, played by Frances Conroy, and their younger sister, Claire Fisher, played by Lauren Ambrose, as the whole family struggles to come to grips with the emotional traumas they have experienced while also coming to terms with the many deaths that have occurred as a result of their family’s chosen profession.
One of the most recognizable dramas produced by the brand, this program was an original series produced by HBO. Because of this, it will no longer be available on Netflix, so grab it while you still have the chance.

My Life with the Walter Boys (2023–Present)
When the network that is now known as The CW was still known as The WB, a soap opera-like adolescent drama such as “My Life With the Walter Boys” would have been perfectly at home on that network. Instead, Netflix is attempting to fill that hole by releasing this adaption of the book of the same name written by Ali Novak. The narrative focuses on Jackie Howard, played by Nikki Rodriguez, a young woman who is involved in a vehicle accident that results in the death of her whole family. In an act of humanity, Jackie’s guardians, George (played by Marc Blucas) and Katherine Walter (played by Sarah Rafferty), invite her to live into their house. This decision ultimately results in Jackie being relocated from New York City to a village in Colorado.
As the name of the program suggests, the Walters already have a number of boys of their own, including Cole (played by Noah LaLonde), Alex (played by Ashby Gentry), and Danny (played by Connor Stanhope). Jackie continues to feel a great connection to the boys, despite the fact that she is dealing with her own personal sorrow. It remains to be seen if she will also become romantically involved with one of them.
On Netflix, you may watch the show “My Life With the Walter Boys.”
This Is Us (2016-2022)
Expect to experience a roller coaster of feelings as the narrative of This Is Us moves from the past to the present and the future, not necessarily in that sequence. The Pearson family is at the center of the show, but you should be prepared to embark on an emotional roller coaster. Despite the fact that Jack Pearson (Milo Ventimiglia) and his wife, Rebecca Pearson (Mandy Moore), were meant to have triplets, only two of their children, Kate and Kevin, were able to live. As a result, they also adopted a third son, Randall, therefore establishing “the Big Three.”
In the current day, Kate (played by Chrissy Metz) and Randall (played by Sterling K. Brown) have their own families, while Kevin (played by Justin Hartley) is still in the process of being developed. The Pearsons continue to be a family even in the face of loss and suffering, despite the fact that their relationships are put to the test by the passage of time and the distance that separates them.

Shameless (2011-2021)
Before settling into its digital afterlife on Netflix, the American adaptation of Shameless had an astonishing run on Showtime that spanned eleven seasons. However, despite the fact that Frank Gallagher (William H. Macy) is the head of his family, he is also an irresponsible drinker who has a tendency to forsake his children for lengthy periods of time. Because of this, it is up to Fiona Gallagher, who is the eldest daughter of Frank, to take up the role of a parent, even if it means sacrificing her own hopes and aspirations. Emmy Rossum plays the part of Fiona Gallagher.
Philip “Lip” Gallagher, Fiona’s brother, is played by Jeremy Allen White, who also appears in The Bear. Cameron Monaghan, who plays Ian Gallagher, Emma Kenney, who plays Debbie Gallagher, and Ethan Cutkosky, who plays Carl Gallagher, all appear in the show. Every single one of the Gallagher children is confronted with their own unique challenges, and most of them are not particularly good at dealing with hardship.
